What is your favorite Character/stage for the original?

My favorite character was Jigglypuff/pikachu xD
And the favorite stage was The Mushroom Kingdom stage.
I still play that game every once in a while.

I played little of this game, I played it after melee came out and I never got into it. So I really wouldn't know.
